The ceremony of the 7th Year Memorial Service for Late
Gen. Choi Hong Hi, The founder of Taekwon-Do and the former ITF President was held at the Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery
in Pyongyang, DPRK on June 15th 2009.
Mrs. Choi Chun Hui, the widow of Gen. Choi, Mr. Cho Tong Sol, former ITF permanent councilor, Mr. Om Jun Sik, former
ITF special assistant and Mr. Han Jong Il, the brother-in-law of Gen. Choi and Mrs. Ryu Mi Yong, Chairwoman of
the Korean Chondoist Chongu Party and widow of Mr. Choi Duk Sin, former ITF permanent councilor, Mr. Hwang Pong
Yong, President of ATF & KTC, Mr. Ri Yong Son, ITF Executive Director General, Mr. Hossein Farid Sabbagh, Vice
President & Secretary General of the Iran Taekwon-Do (ITF) Association, Mr. Johan Peter Halsoe (son of Dr.
GM. Leong Wai Meng, ITF Vice President and Steen Augo Tobias Rasmussen, Taekwon-Do student from Greenland, International
Instructors, KTC instructors and students and relatives of Gen. Choi participated this ceremony.
They presented their wreaths and flowers and paid their respects to the tomb of Gen. Choi Hong Hi, the Founder
of Taekwon-Do and the former ITF President.
On June 16th 2009, in Taekwon-Do Hall, there was a video show of documentary which showed the historical life time
pictures of Gen. Choi and deeply impressed the participants and followed by the visit to Relics Exhibition Rooms
of Gen. Choi and Taekwon-Do demonstration by the demo team of Korean Taekwon-Do Committee.

VENEZUELA – JAMAICA 14 DE MARZO 2009
¡LOS FELICITAMOS!, estamos seguro
que el sentimiento general, aun los niños y niñas que no pudieron alcanzar las ansiadas medallas,
están felices, porque no solo hicieron un muy buen papel sino también participaron de un encuentro
de confraternidad conociendo nuevos amigos y haciendo de la delegación de cada estado una gran familia.
Soy testigo del gran esfuerzo que hicieron nuestros pequeños de cada estado no solo porque sacrificaron
momentos de diversión, sino porque a pesar de los duros entrenamientos, no descuidaron sus estudios. Ahora
solo queda mirar al presente y futuro. Cada padre y madre de la delegación de cada estado, todos opinamos
que nuestros niños y niñas pueden dar más, pero para ello se necesita tecnificar más
el deporte con asesoría nutricional, preparador físico y psicológico. Quisiera compartir la
satisfacción de la misión cumplida con cada una de las personas que nos apoyaron para que este viaje
se hiciera realidad, HAY QUE CREER MAS EN NUESTROS NIÑOS Y NIÑAS CON EL RESULTADO QUE SI SE PUEDE
no sea una frase nada más, y que cada vez que encontremos la ilusión de nuestros pequeños,
seamos vehementes y los apoyemos.

We're sure that everyone is pleased because all of our
group did well, regardless of medal standings, by participating in a new community of friendship. We are very proud
of all of our students who were able to maintain their studies while they worked so hard at their training.
We congratulate them and emphasize that we need to continue to support and believe in our young people.

Afghan Taekwon-Do Association
3rd Seminar and Grading in Herat Province of Afghanistan
On the 3rd of March, (ATA) Afghan Taekwon-Do Association 3rd seminar was organized in Herat province of Afghanistan.
Mr. Najmuddin Safi, President of ATA, conducted the seminar followed by upgrading session. The seminar covered
all color belt patterns. The sine wave and differences of fast motions, connecting motions and continuous motions
were well explained and demonstrated. The seminar was attended by more than 100 practitioners from different Taekwon-Do
schools in Herat. 13 practitioners appeared for the exam and were promoted to the 1st Degree Black-Belt. They will
soon receive their ITF certificates.
